Dr. Cynthia Evans, DHA, MBA, BA, AAS, LVN, ODS-C
Adjunct Professor | Cancer Registry Manager | Oncology Data Specialist
Dr. Cynthia Evans is an experienced healthcare professional and educator with over 35 years of service in oncology and healthcare administration. As an adjunct professor in Cancer Registry Management, she brings a wealth of knowledge and field experience to her students, blending academic excellence with real-world application.
Throughout her career, Dr. Evans has served in multiple roles across the oncology care continuum, including:
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
- Oncology Research Associate
- Public Health Representative
- Cancer Registry Consultant
- Cancer Registry Manager
Since 2001, she has held the Certified Oncology Data Specialist (ODS-C) credential, maintaining a strong commitment to excellence in cancer data reporting and compliance. She currently serves as the Cancer Registry Manager at a hospital in South Texas, where she leads data operations, supports accreditation efforts, and mentors registry professionals.
Dr. Evans is an active member of the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA) and the Texas Oncology Data Association (TXODA).
