Dr. Cynthia Evans is a seasoned oncology data professional and healthcare leader with more than 35 years of experience in healthcare and cancer registry operations. She is the President of E-Clan Consulting LLC, a specialized consulting firm that provides comprehensive cancer registry services, oncology data management support, audits, and professional training for hospitals and cancer programs.
Dr. Evans has been a Certified Oncology Data Specialist (ODS-C) since 2001 and has extensive experience working in hospital-based and population-based cancer registries. Her career spans multiple areas of oncology data management including casefinding, abstracting, quality assurance, registry program management, staff training, and compliance reporting.
In addition to leading E-Clan Consulting LLC, Dr. Evans currently serves as a Cancer Registry Manager for a hospital in South Texas, where she oversees registry operations, supports Commission on Cancer (CoC) accreditation and re-accreditation efforts, and ensures compliance with state and national cancer reporting standards.
Dr. Evans also serves as an Adjunct Professor in Cancer Registry Management, where she is dedicated to preparing the next generation of oncology data professionals. Her combined experience in clinical care, public health, cancer surveillance, and registry leadership allows her to provide hospitals with practical, results-driven solutions that strengthen cancer program performance and data integrity.
